Community Part 1: A Committed Community ()

Pastor Travis CardwellPastor Travis Cardwell, November 18, 2012
Part of the Community series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Friends, distortions of what things should really look like happen all the time. We hear a word such as team, family, marriage, love, or church and in our minds we conjure up definitions and expectations of what these things mean. Beginning this Sunday we want to explore what it means to be a biblical community and what that means for us as members of a local church. Our hope for this series isn’t to guilt people into thinking we need more of your time, money, and resources. Our hope is to remind of us of the great privilege it is to be united with other believers in our call to proclaim the gospel. Our hope is to be reminded of our commitment to Christ, our need for one another, and our need to grow together in holiness. Jesus Christ laid down his life for His Bride, the church, and our hope is that we follow Him and honor Him in a way that brings Him glory. We cannot do this on our own and we are so grateful for the brothers and sisters that lock arms with us and help us as we press on in knowing Christ.
