Travis Cardwell
Preaching Pastor
Travis Cardwell was born in Liberty, TX in 1979. He did not
consider the claims of the gospel until his freshmen year in
college. It was through the preaching of the gospel, at First
Baptist Church in Bryan TX that he turned from his sins to
trust in Christ. He immediately discerned a call into the
pastorate, and to attend Seminary. He holds a B.S. from Texas
A&M University and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern
Baptist Theological Seminary. It was through his time at
seminary that he met Jim Hamilton and Billy Newhouse. In
August of 2006, Travis and his family came to Baptist Church
of the Redeemer. Travis is married to Alicia and has three
children: Caraline, Brayton and Caleb, with another child
expected in February of 2009. Travis enjoys spending time
with his family, reading and playing golf.

Billy Newhouse
Associate Pastor
Billy Newhouse was born in Houston, TX in 1977. He was raised
Lutheran and as a teenager began to understand a need for
Jesus. He was active in church as he grew older and he began
to feel more and more convicted of his sins. Then in college
he began studying the Bible more and it became very clear that
he was indeed a great sinner in need of a great Savior. Seeing
and believing Jesus as his greatest reward took off in the
college years. Billy went on to earn his Master of Divinity from
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He first came to Redeemer in May of 2005 after
finishing an interim youth minister position at another
church. He was connected to Redeemer through Jim Hamilton
and rejoiced at the prospect of being a part of a church
centered on the Gospel. Billy is married to Stephenie and
they are expecting a son (Will) in August 2008. Currently
Billy works as a credit analyst and enjoys reading, running,
and playing any sport that he can (especially softball,
basketball, and flag football).

Richard Fields
Richard Fields was born in Austin, Texas in 1958. He was convicted of his sins early in life, so it is difficult
to pinpoint his time of conversion. His faith was obviously real at the age of 19 when he heard a song
on the Christian radio station by a man named Larry Norman, and realized then the Lordship of Christ
over all things, including him. Richard and his family decided to become involved in the original "Grace
Family Fellowship" when Jim Hamilton agreed to preach on a temporary basis. It soon became clear
that this church was the answer to their longings and desires for many years and they were glad to jump
in feet first. Richard is married to Becky and they have 7 children: James, Elizabeth, Hannah, Abigail,
John, Andrew and Jennifer. The Field's live in Sugar Land TX, where Richard works as a civil engineer.
He enjoys visiting history museums and listening to books on CD.
