Join us in building a Gospel Community!

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
1 Timothy 4:16

Do I Need a Care Group?
Are you a self-sufficient Christian? Would you consider yourself to be mature in the faith? Do you trust your own assessment of yourself? Do you desire to communicate with others about what God is doing in your life? What is He doing?

Small groups at Redeemer are NOT designed mainly for Bible study. Lord willing, that happens each Sunday morning in Sunday school and in our corporate gathering for worship. Care groups are mainly designed for the application of the Word of God to our lives!

Why Small Groups?

Small Groups provide an environment for corporate sanctification.
Are you fighting the good fight? Care groups are designed to help us fight against sin together, seeking to maintain a good conscience and avoid shipwrecking our faith (1 Tim. 1:18-19). Care groups help to prevent division within the church while encouraging Godly behavior as we seek to apply sound doctrine to our lives.

Small Groups Provide an Opportunity for Mutual Care.
Care groups are designed in such a way that all members can give and receive spiritual care. This sort of care cannot be sufficiently pursued on Sundays alone. When was the last time that you confessed sin to a brother or sister? When was the last time someone in your church helped you through a rough patch in your life? Do you see your need for accountability to others, or are you comfortable to continue with your own self evaluation?

Small Groups Provide an Opportunity for Biblical Fellowship.
Our relationship with our Creator should be the main topic of communication within our Care Groups. Thus in order to have true, meaningful, biblical fellowship, one must maintain a passionate relationship with God. Here are some sample questions that you might here asked in Care group: What’s God been doing in your life? What are you studying? Can I share these observations of God’s grace in your life? Are you discouraged about anything? How can we pray for you?

Small Groups Provide an Opportunity for the Expression of Spiritual Gifts.
God has given spiritual gifts to every Christian (1 Cor. 12:1-7) and He fully expects us to use them. It is simply not feasible for every member to use these gifts on a Sunday morning. But, in Care groups we have a smaller, more personal context that lends itself to the expression of each person’s gift. What is your spiritual gift? Don’t know your gift? Don’t take a test, join a Care group!

How often do Care Groups meet?
Care groups meet on the 1st, 3rd and 5th weeks of each month. If you are interested in joining a caregroup, talk to one of the elders to get plugged in to one in your area! If you're a member of another fellowship, we'll help you get started building edifying personal relationships within your church. If you're not a member of any church, talk to us and we'll help you learn the value of having a relationship to God and His people.
